Self Portraits in the style of Chuck Close
As part of their Task Homework, the Juniors were set the task of creating their own self-portraits in the style of the Artist Chuck Close. The children used the squared paper they were given to sketch a self-portrait before colouring in each square.
Squares or parts of squares that were dark on their image were coloured with darker secondary, tertiary or shaded hues (colours mixed with black).
All squares or parts of squares that were light on their image were coloured with bright or tinted hues (colours that are mixed with white).
Their finished pieces were fantastic!
