World Book Day

πŸŒŽπŸ“šWorld Book Day 2024πŸŒŽπŸ“š

For World Book Day this year, the Juniors and the Infants decided they wanted to work together to explore traditional tales from the local area. Rhiannon, one of our Year 5 pupils, wanted to read her favourite local traditional tale to everyone.

The children then went on to draw their own characters for a new tale they will write together, before presenting it to parents and the community.

The children also listened to some traditional local folklore stories and drew characters after listening to the descriptions. We look forward to sharing the new tales with you all!

The Juniors enjoyed taking part in this year's World Book Day!

The book focus for the Junior Class on World Book Day was Little Red Riding Hood... With a twist.

After looking at the point of view of the wolf, the children wrote a description of him, before creating a watercolour painting of Red wandering through the dark forest.

Each description was written brilliantly and felt like it transported you to the forest!
