Charles Darwin - Theory of Evolution
Finches and Adaptation
We followed Charles Darwin's journey on the HMS Beagle to South America and the South Sea Islands. We visited the Galapagos Islands in our research, where Darwin observed that each of the islands had similar types of finches. Although they were the same species, each was different to make the most of local conditions. They have adapted the size of their beaks to match the seeds they eat.
So, we decided to investigate this for ourselves!
