We had a go at making our own butter as part of the Rationing Topic.
We only needed 3 ingredients:
1. Double cream
2: A jar with a lid
3: Very strong muscles!
After a LOT of shaking we successfully made our very own butter.
We then got to taste it on sourdough bread washed down with the buttermilk that had separated from it.
We have to say - they were both very delicious!
